St Anne’s Catholic Parish Church in Buxton has celebrated its 150th anniversary with a host of events for the whole community.
The church opened its doors to the public with a stunning display of flowers and the history of the church in photographs.
The Bishop of Nottingham, Malcolm McMahon, as well as the people of the parish and many of the Presentation Sisters who played a very active role in the church for countless years, attended a service.
A fabulous good old-fashioned family concert was held at the Pavilion Arts Centre. Musicians, singers and comedians entertained, with Jimmy Cricket, Bill Weston MBE and his brilliant Billerettes among the marvellous cast.
Organisers would like to thank the technicians and many other helpers at the Pavilion Arts Centre for making the show possible, as well as all those who worked tirelessly to make it a celebration to remember.
