The weather failed to spoil Buxton’s big day, as thousands turned out for Saturday’s bumper carnival celebrations.
Despite the gloomy forecast and downpours, the weather took a back seat for the afternoon procession, much to the delight of carnival-goers.
The colourful floats and wacky foot characters lifted spirits as they made their two-hour journey along the town’s streets, cheered on by a vocal crowd.
