OVER 30 Derbyshire organisations have been honoured in the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2012.
Among the highest-performing of the county’s organisations was Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, which was commended in the Emergency Services sector.
Derbyshire County Council collected a President’s honour for 14 consecutive Gold awards. There was Gold awards for the University of Derby and Derbyshire Probation Trust, while Cemex UK Materials, based at Dove Holes Quarry in Buxton, picked up a Silver award.
Award winners were presented with their certificates or trophies during ceremonies in Birmingham last month.
