BUXTON company Otter Controls has made it onto the Sunday Times PwC Profit Track 100 league table which ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing profits over the last three years.
The company, which is based on the Tongue Lane Industrial Estate, came in at number 82 on the list, which this year features 15 companies with their headquarters in the Midlands and will be published in the Sunday Times this weekend.
Founded in 1946, Otter Controls manufactures thermostatic controls and employs 996 staff in the UK, Europe and China. It earned its place on the list with a 47.57 per cent annual profit growth over three years.
Paul Norbury, partner and private company expert in the Midlands at PwC, the title sponsor of the league table said: “It’s great to see these local privately-owned companies delivering sustained profit growth and making such a positive contribution to the economy.”
