A new spa at a Peak District hotel will open next month, creating 13 new jobs.
The Mill Wheel Spa is the latest addition to the Three Horseshoes Country Inn at Blackshaw Moor, and will open in March.
The popular inn and hotel has been managed by the Kirk family since 1981.
Wendy Kirk said: “The spa is very exciting.
“We’ve always been involved with the hospitality trade but this is a new branch of hospitality that we have not yet experienced before.
“We’ve done a lot of research and wanted to create something unique. We’re aiming to be a major UK spa destination.”
The innovative new spa will feature many UK-first experiences, and even comes complete with its own beach experience where guests can enjoy the warm sand between their toes as well as guaranteed sunshine.
Joining the Beach Hut will be a host of other new spa experiences, including the Farmers Sauna, a wood-panelled steam room with a rustic and rural feel connecting to its location and local history.
Central to the spa’s thermal area, is the Mill Wheel shower, also a UK first, turned by water power.
Other facilities include an outdoor hydrotherapy pool, a plunge pool, a beautiful outdoor spa garden and three treatment rooms offering a range of natural beauty and wellbeing treatments.
