TWO separate faults with underground electricity cables have been blamed for cutting power to homes in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
The supply to 1,101 customers was disrupted just before 3pm on Tuesday afternoon, with power restored to the vast majority within 90 minutes. The problem was caused by an underground cable fault in the Grange Park Road area.
A week earlier on Tuesday, June 28, problems with an underground cable in the Bagshaw Avenue area of the town cut power to 3,370 homes.
A spokesman for Electricity North West said: “Whilst unfortunately some of the same customers were affected by both incidents, the two issues were completely separate incidents.
“Electricity North West apologises for any inconvenience caused to all those affected.”
