Plans to convert the former High Peak Borough Council offices in Chinley into a business park are to be determined tomorrow (Monday).
The application, by Stephenson Deane Property Co Ltd, will be decided at a meeting of the authority’s development control committee at Chapel-en-le-Frith Town Hall.
If approved, four buildings on the site, which has been vacant since 2010, will be refurbished and extended to convert them to two storeys.
The plans also include the removal of two temporary office cabins and replacement with permanent buildings, as well as the provision of 82 car parking spaces.
Documentation to go before members at the meeting states that Chinley, Buxworth and Brownside Parish Council welcome and support the development at the Buxton Road site. There were no letters of objection received, and several other consultees, including the Highways Agency, were also in favour of the scheme.
The buildings on the site are estimated to have been built in the early 1900s as High Peak Isolation Hospital.
Council planning officers have recommended the application for approval.
