Burglars steal two vehicles


Two cars have been stolen in Glossop after thieves broke into homes and stole the keys.

Sometime between 9.30pm on Tuesday and 3.30am on Wednesday, a house on Woodhead Road was broken into. Keys were stolen and a black Mini One was then taken from the driveway.

And between 11.20pm and 11.40pm on Tuesday, a house on Hallmeadow Road was broken into.

A handbag was stolen along with a set of keys and a black Audi A1 Sport was taken from the street outside.

The homeowner saw a white man in light clothing near the car and shouted at him.

A second man then got out of the car and the pair ran off but a third man was sat in the driver’s seat and drove off, picking up the other two men.

The men were all white, in their late teens or early 20s, and around 5ft 11ins tall.

Police are linking the two crimes.
