BREAKING NEWS: Aviva Women's Tour rolls through the Peaks

Spectators were treated to an international cycle racing spectacle as the Aviva Women's Tour rolled out across Derbyshire, today, Friday, June 17.

Our photographers have captured the race as it passed through Buxton and Matlock.

Winner of the sprint over Buxton Market Place was Marianne Vos.

The tour is now heading to Chesterfield.

The overall race started with Stage 1 on June 15, from Southwold to Norwich, and with Stage 2, on June 16, from Atherstone to Stratford-upon-Avon, followed by today’s wonderful Derbyshire Stage 3 which posed some tough hilly challenges.

Stage 4, is on Saturday, June 18, is from Nottingham to Stoke-on-Trent, and includes southern Derbyshire and the Peak District, before the final Stage 5, on Sunday, June 19, from Northampton to Kettering.
