A Buxton motorist who was more than twice over the limit when he was stopped in Bulwell faces a court bill of £635.
Charles Butterworth, 56, of Market Street, admitted driving with excess alcohol when he appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court on February 24.
The court heard his Vauxhall Astra was stopped on Hucknall Lane on February 8, where a breath test revealed he had 73 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the limit is 35.
He was fined £500 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £50 and £85 costs. He was banned for 18 months.
