Blow whistle on scams

Residents plagued by scam mail are being urged to help the fight back against fake lotteries, get-rich-quick schemes and bogus prize draws.

Derbyshire County Council’s Scamnesty campaign is targeting scam letters, leaflets and flyers.

If people think they or someone they know has been scammed, they can call the Citizens Advice consumer service on 08454 04 05 06, or report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.

Further information is available at the Think Jessica website,, a Derbyshire based charity set up to help and support those affected by the scammers.
