Popular BBC programme Antiques Roadshow will be heading to Disley later this year.
The roadshow will pay a visit to the National Trust’s Lyme Park estate on Thursday September 10, when leading antiques and fine arts specialists will be offering free advice and valuations to visitors.
Other nearby venues to be visited by the Antiques Roadshow in 2015 include Bolsover Castle, near Chesterfield, on Thursday July 9, and Trentham Gardens, near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, on Thursday September 3.
Presenter Fiona Bruce, who in March marked her 100th Antiques Roadshow venue, said: “I can’t believe I’ve reached 100 Antiques Roadshows. How did that happen? Time has flown by.
“What is constantly surprising to me, even into my second century of Roadshows, is how our visitors continue to bring along a wealth of objects with fascinating stories and some remarkable values.
“That moment when the experts hold someone’s fate in their hands - pennies or millions - is what the Antiques Roadshow is all about.”
Anyone can attend the Antiques Roadshow. It’s free and no pre-registration or appointment is required.
