Bakewell club members hear talk on passage to the top of the globe
Club members enjoyed hearing about an exciting trip to one of the most northerly coastlines in the world.
The spectacular coastline of Norway was the subject of an illustrated talk given to the Bakewell and District Probus Club by Gillian Dengel, wife of club member Theo.
Showing a selection from the hundreds of photographs taken on the journey, Gill described a return voyage which they had made between Bergen and Kirkenes via the North Cape. They had travelled on board one of the Hurtigruten fleet of Norwegian ferries and cargo ships which operate on this route.
