Appeal as burglars strike three times

Police are appealing for information after three burglaries in the High Peak.

Over the weekend, thieves broke into three storage containers at Bradshaw’s Yard on Staden Lane, Buxton, and stole tools from inside. They also smashed the windows of two Transit vans and stole items from inside.

A Subaru Impreza was stolen, sometime between 2am and 8.15am on Sunday morning, after a property on Peveril Road in Castleton was broken into and the keys taken.

Thieves gained access to a home on Frith View in Chapel-en-le-Frith through an insecure door and stole items including a laptop, Wii game console and two iPods, between 4am and 7.30am on Sunday morning.

Police are reminding homeowners to make sure they lock their doors.
