Appeal after driver is assaulted in Charlesworth


Detectives investigating an assault in Charlesworth are trying to trace the driver of a silver car.

At around 1.30pm on Saturday, a 59-year-old Glossop man was driving along Town Lane, between Charlesworth and Simmondley, when a silver car drove up behind him and the driver flashed the lights.

He pulled over and got out of his van but was then assaulted by the driver of the silver car, suffering bruising to his ribs and cuts to his face.
