Plans for 23 apartments on land in Whaley Bridge have been submitted to High Peak Borough Council.

The outline application, for a residential development with associated works, on Hog’s Yard, Buxton Road, has been submitted by High Peak Developments Ltd.

Permission has previously been granted for a mixed use development at the site, incorporating leisure, food and drink and offices.

A design and access statement accompanying the application states: “Our client has marketed the site for business-related uses for a number of years without success. The proposed residential scheme responds to the significant housing shortfall across High Peak.”

The plans will be determined by council officers.
