Whaley Bridge and Furness Vale residents are being encouraged to step up their home security following a spate of burglaries.
Between 7pm on Wednesday August 19 and 6.45pm the following day, thieves removed the window from a property on Buxton Road, Whaley Bridge, to gain entry.
Once inside, offenders carried out an untidy search of the bedroom before making off with a Laptop, iPhone and jewellery, including two wedding rings.
An MP3 player and cash were stolen after thieves smashed the ground floor window of a property on Buxton Road in Furness Vale. The property alarm was activated which is believed to have disturbed the thieves.
Other break-ins took place at properties on Linglongs Road in Whaley Bridge and Station Road in Furness Vale.
Following the incidents, residents are being encouraged to take steps to boost their security and protect themselves from crime.
This includes making sure that all windows and doors are properly locked, and ensuring any valuables, personal documents and car keys are left out of view from passers-by.
Homeowners are also being advised to consider using timer switches or leaving a light on when not at home to help deter thieves.
