Air rescue for teens

THE DERBYSHIRE, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance was called to help two injured youngsters in the Peak District on Tuesday.

An 18-year-old climber injured both his ankles after falling 30ft from a rock face at around 11.30am. He was treated at the scene before being flown to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham.

Later that day, a 12-year-old boy fell around two feet and hurt his left ankle. He was also treated on site before being flown to the Royal Derby Hospital.
