Buxton and Chapel-en-le-Frith are the latest of 60 Northern Rail stations to be accredited with ‘Secure Station’ status.

The scheme, managed by the Department for Transport and British Transport Police, sets station design and management safety standards for crime reduction.

Alex Hynes, Managing Director of Northern Rail, said: “The latest stations to achieve this landmark achievement show just how far we’ve come as a franchise.”
