A6 FATAL COLLISION UPDATE: Two more men arrested in connection with Taddington road death

Police investigating the death of a motorcyclist in Taddington on Friday have arrested two more men in connection with the inquiry.

The men, aged 54 and 26, who are both from Sheffield, will be questioned by officers later today (Monday).

A car believed to have been involved in the collision has also been seized.

Five men from Staffordshire were arrested on Sunday and are still in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Smith, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are continuing our inquiries and are still trying to trace two more men who may have been involved in this incident. We believe they are in the Sheffield area and I’m urging them to contact us as soon as possible.”

A 24-year-old man from New Mills received fatal injuries when his motorcycle was in collision with another vehicle on the A6 Taddington Dale at about 11.30pm on Friday.
