James, who studied French, Geography and Politics, has gained a place to read Law with French Law at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford.

Whilst at MGS, James found time to develop his love of music, achieving grade eight in his violin studies. He has also been a member of the senior prefect team, representing the school at many of its external events and said: “My time in the Sixth Form has been a huge springboard for university and beyond and I can’t thank MGS enough for the opportunities afforded to me.”

Following his studies, James plans to become a Diplomat.

And fellow student Carwyn Lee, from Disley, also achieved three A* grades.

Carywn, who studied Biology, Chemistry and Geography, has subsequently gained a place to read Veterinary Science at Liverpool University.

He said: “I have always known I wanted to become a vet and, with the help of MGS, I’ve been able to undertake a variety of work experience in this field which will now allow me to pursue a career.”

Carwyn has also developed his love at rugby whilst at MGS, becoming an integral part of the school’s first XV and representing Cheshire.
