The UK’s only ‘stand-up mountaineer’, Andy Kirkpatrick will be at Buxton Opera House with his show Off The Wall on Monday 14 February at 7.30pm.

Andy Kirkpatrick is a natural performer with talents to rival the top comedy acts in the UK. His inimitable style, coupled with his love for all things extreme, makes for a unique evening of entertainment, with stunning images and footage accompanying his tales of terror from the steep.

In his past shows, Andy searched for an answer to his perpetual quest for adventure. Off The Wall is his third attempt to answer the reason why he climbs, as he charts the last two years of his life with a collection of stories, including climbing the mighty El Capitan in Yosemite, a dramatic rescue from the North Face of the Eiger, a near drowning at Cape Wrath and a trip to Number 10.

Andy is a hugely popular speaker and accomplished storyteller, as comfortable on stage as he is lashed to an ice-clad mountain in a 100mph storm. In Off The Wall, he bucks the trend of macho mountain men, recounting his crazy adventures with a heady mix of stunning audio visuals and observational, self-deprecating comedy.

The show will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets for Andy Kirkpatrick – Off The Wall are priced at £13 and discounts are available. Call the Box Office on 0845 127 2190 or buy online at www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
