1.1 million Volkswagen vehicles in the UK affected by the diesel emissions scandal
It has been revealed that 1.1 million Volkswagen vehicles in the UK are affected by the diesel emissions scandal.
This follows the resignation of Volkswagen’s chief executive Martin Winterkorn, after the German car-maker admitted that 11 million vehicles worldwide might have been fitted with software to trick emissions testers.
The German car-maker said it would inform customers how to get their vehicles “corrected in the near future”.
The number of affected vehicles in the UK per brand are:

• Audi 393,450
• Seat: 76,773
• Skoda: 131,569
• Volkswagen commercial vehicles: 79,838
