Voices ring out to aid careline for elderly

A summer concert will help boost the funds of a careline for old people.

Wirksworth Community Choir and special guests will sing and play pieces from madrigals through to Cole Porter and John Rutter.

The concert is at Wirksworth Town Hall on Friday, June 17, at 7.30pm.

There will be light refreshments and a bar. Tickets £8, under 18s free. To book, contact 01629 822844.

Proceeds will go to Ashbourne Careline for the Elderly

The charity is based at St Oswald’s Hospital and makes daily calls to around 100 elderly and vulnerable service users every day of the year.
