The Urban Folk Collective builds on a growing army of fans

High-energy band The Urban Folk Quartet are heading for north Derbyshire as part of a national tour.

The group will be playing at Hollingwood Hub, near Staveley, on March 9.

This spring tour will give the musicians the opportunity to share new material, following on from the release of their album Escape last year. The album was their most critically acclaimed to date, making several end of year lists including The Telegraph’s Best Of Folk 2015. The Escape Tour took the band across the UK, as well as taking in dates in France, Belgium and Denmark.

Comprising Joe Broughton, Paloma Trigás, Tom Chapman and Dan Walsh, The Urban Folk Quartet’s genre-defying, all-embracing approach to folk music has captivated audiences in high-energy performances.

Their performance at Hollingwood Hub starts at 7.30pm.
