BMW has released details of what could be the most exclusive new car in the UK for just 30 models of this very special Beemer are coming to these shores in 2016 when the fastest ever BMW road car will go on sale writes Bryan Longworth.

It is the all new BMW M4 GTS which will jet to 62mph from zero in just 3.8 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200mph and if you are fortunate enough to be able to shell out £121,770 it could be yours unless Premier League footballers have got there first!

The German manufacturer is producing just 700 in a limited production run with only 30 coming to the UK making Britain the fourth largest market and it is the fastest production road car that BMW has ever produced.

It has been developed and tested extensively at the famous Nurburgring racing circuit in Germany where it recorded a lap time of 7mins 28 secs which is almost 30 seconds quicker than a standard BMW M4.

Under the bonnet is an enhanced version of the 3.0-litre six cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine tuned to deliver 500hp which produced that amazing acceleration time of just 3.8 seconds for the zero to 62mph sprint and a limited top speed of 190mph.

The dramatic styling has a striking rear spoiler attached to the boot lid and can be adjusted to three positions one for road driving and two others that can be selected to individual preference when taking this very special BMW on the track which is the only place where the car’s full potential can be tried out!

Also featured is a titanium quad pipe exhaust system with each pipe having a laser engraved M emblem and the exhaust note of this high performance car producing what BMW say is “an emotionally charged and unmistakable BMW M sound” which is audible over the entire engine speed range.

The engine is mated to a seven speed M Double Clutch Transmission which selects the optimum ratio for every driving situation and means no interrruption to the flow of power to the rear wheels.

Intelligent lightweight construction has limited the kerb weight to just 1,510kg and weight saving changes include carbon fibre bucket seats which are 50 per cent lighter than those in the standard M4 and the bonnet roof and front splitter are all made from carbon fibre reinforced plastic.

This very desirable BMW has unique forged M light alloy wheels being 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear which are shod with special Michelin tyres developed specifically for this car.

At the rear there is a world first with organic LED rear lights that create a homogeneous effect and a free optional extra is a roll cage with six point harness and a fire extinguisher that must be the coolest and cheapest option on the market and a great topic of conversation in the 19th hole at the golf club!
