Peak TREK for homeless charity
Framework, which works with more than 11,000 people a year, will be hosting its second annual TREK challenge on Saturday, September 12.
The event, sponsored by Western Power Distribution, will walkers take on a gruelling 22 mile circuit around the National Park in aid of Framework’s Nature in Mind service – a highly successful initiative aimed at widening access to outdoor activities and recreation for vulnerable people.
Beginning and ending at the Hope Sports Club, the route will follow the well-trodden Edale Skyline, taking in Win Hill Pike, Kinder Scout, Mam Tor and Lose Hill. Walkers will be lead on the day and in the run up to the challenge by an experienced guide.
TREK takes place between 6am and 6pm and is a team event for groups of four and eight. A registration of £50 is requested. Entrants will get a walk leader, first-aid, check point snacks, a commemorative t-shirt and pre-walk training. For more information or to register to take part visit www.frameworkha.org/trek.
