The former White Lion Hotel on Spring Gardens, which was built in 1650, is currently being used by small businesses as workshops, known as The Artisan Quarter.

Key Online Sales, Buxton, who are marketing the property for £950k, said: “A unique opportunity to acquire one of Buxtons most historic buildings. Situated right in the heart of Buxton’s town centre.”

The building was granted planning permission in August 2018 to convert it into eight apartments and five one bedroom houses, each with the potential to be two bedroom houses.
