10 amazing Derbyshire properties under £500k you could save up to £25k on due to stamp duty holiday
House hunters could save £25,000 when buying a new home after the government announced a stamp duty holiday.
You won’t have to pay Stamp Duty Land Tax, from July to March 31, 2021, whether you have owned a house before or if it is your first.
You will only start to pay stamp duty on the amount paid above £500,000.
Before the holiday there was no stamp duty on properties costing up to £125,000.
The break means that if you buy a house for £250,000 you will make a saving of £5,000 as you usually paid two percent tax. A £400,000 property savings will be £20,000 and a £500,000 property savings will be £25,000 as the tax was five per cent.
So here are ten great homes, marketed on Zoopla, you can make savings on right now.
