Hendrix of the Sahara hits Derbyshire

International recording artist Vieux Farka TourÃ©, who has been dubbed the Hendrix of the Sahara, makes his High Peak debut next week.

The son of blues guitarist, Ali Farka Touré, he is renowned for his expertise in African fingerstyle. Vieux’s latest album, Mon Pays, reminds the listener of the beauty and culture of his native Mali.
