The popular coffee shop chain said that after re-opening two drive-thrus and delivery stores last Friday as a trial during the coronavirus lockdown, it has now decided to open more outlets.

In a tweet yesterday, the firm said: “Since opening two drive-thru and two delivery stores last Friday we’ve had a fantastic response from our team members and customers.

When asked by one Twitter user about Costa’s plans for Meadowhall, the firm said: “There's no current plans to re-open here just yet but we'll keep you updated.”
