200 primary school children to sing with award-winning choirs
As part of an annual community outreach programme, choir founder director Joyce Ellis MBE and assistant Katherine Moore are giving workshops at nine schools for six
weeks, helping pupils discover their singing voices and teaching them songs which they will sing in the concerts.

Hide AdThe culmination of the project will be two concerts performed on March 5 and 6 at the Pavilion Marquee in the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton, from 3pm.
School choirs participating in the concert on March 5 are from Hayfield, Fairfield Juniors, St Marys New Mills, Simmondley and Dove Holes. On March 6, the choirs taking part will be from Chapel-en-le-Frith, St George’s New Mills, St Luke’s Glossop and Whaley Bridge.
The concerts will feature a varied programme of music from Zadok the Priest to What does the fox say?
