The figures also show 242 deaths in the High Peak since the start of the pandemic. This is the number of people whose death certificate mentioned COVID-19 as one of the causes.
Latest numbers on the site also show that between February 18 and 23, 97 people in the High Peak had a confirmed positive test result, a decrease of 29.2% compared to the previous 7 days.
A community coronavirus testing centre is now open in Buxton. The centre, for aysmptomatic people (not showing any symptoms) is open seven days a week with no need to book. One in three people who have coronavirus do not have any symptoms so the testing is particularly important for those still going into work or mixing with the public.
It takes around ten to 15 minutes for the test to be completed and you get your results in around thirty minutes.
The centre is based in the Octagon in the Pavilion Gardens.
