The Stonebroom, Shirland and Wessington area has the highest number of coronavirus-related deaths in the Chesterfield area – according to new figures released by the Office for National Statistics.

The figures, which cover deaths from or related to Covid-19, show that eight people from the area have died from the virus between March 1 and April 17.

Ashgate has no recorded deaths from coronavirus, along with Central Chesterfield, while Stavely has four, and there are 11 recorded deaths in the Dronfield area.
