Street food restaurant opens in Peak District despite pandemic

As well as a restaurant and café, Sahil is offering take home meals and a catering service for small events. The venue is open every day from noon to 7pm.
“We started the project before the pandemic, and Covid delayed everything by months, meaning we missed the summer and the peak season for Bakewell,” says
Danish-born Iqrash, who moved to South Yorkshire as a youngster.

“Sahil is a huge hit in Denmark and we’re excited to finally bring it to the UK. We are going for a casual street food restaurant/cafe vibe,” he added.
The brothers’ dad, Tanvear, runs the Danish restaurant and helped with the Bakewell launch.
