High Peak law firm gets self-raising to help charity

The offices of Chafes Solicitors LLP were turned into an episode of The Great British Bake-off on Monday, June 20, as teams at the firm's three offices launched a year of fundraising.

The staff baked cakes and paid to wear football shirts to work as they cheered on England in aid of Crossroads Derbyshire.

Family law associate Michelle Simpson said: “Crossroads offer an invaluable service to many people across Derbyshire. As a trustee, I am proud of the work they do. For Chafes to be supporting them in this way is wonderful.”

The charity was chosen for its work helping women, and children break free from domestic abuse.
