He said: “We have such a great space in a great location we want to be utilising this the best we can.“We already have some businesses who use us weekly, monthly or annually but now after the recent refurbishment we want to begin inviting more people to use our wonderful space.”

Conferences and events can be held in the High Ballroom which can hold up to 300 people, or the Chatsworth Suite which holds up to 180 people.

For smaller occasions the Haddon Room which holds 60 may be more appropriate or even the Conservatory which can cater for just 40 people.

Philip said: “We have added an extra 40 beds, as well as redecorating our ballroom and conference areas and everything looks great.

“There was a period where the building was looking tired but she’s an old girl who needed a bit of loving and I think we’ve given a great facelift.

“Now we want to showcase the Palace and let people see her in all her glory.”
