Severn Trent thanks customers in Buxton for patience after maintenance works

Residents in Buxton have been thanked for their patience after a major project of maintenance work was completed.

Severn Trent has carried out work in Fairfield on the area’s water pipes over the last few weeks, with several road closures being in place during the work.

Lisa Orme, from Severn Trent, said: “We’d like to thank the residents of Buxton for their understanding and patience while we’ve been working in the area.

"We know that these works have been carried out in what can be a very busy area, and we’re really grateful for everyone’s cooperation."

Severn Trent contractor partner Amey completed the work on behalf of the company.

Lisa added: “We’re delighted that we’ve been able to keep our promise and get everything done by the end of April.

"We started work back in March, carrying out maintenance on the water pipe network to secure residents water supplies for the future.”
