Campsite of the Year honour for Buxton touring park

Clover Fields Touring Camping Park was named Campsite of the Year for the Heart of England region at the annual AA Caravan and Camping Awards.

Winners were selected by the AA’s team of expert campsite inspectors who travel the length and breadth of the British Isles to ensure that campers can be confident of high standards wherever they see the AA Pennants at a campsite.

Proud owners Jan and Stephen Redfern, who operate Clover Fields with daughter Jody, said: “As a small, family business, it is a great honour to receive such a prestigious award.

“We are delighted to be recognised in this way by such a well-respected organisation.”

Clover Fields is a spacious adults-only park located just over a mile from Buxton. Designed as a continual loop, pitches are fully serviced and have individual barbecues, and are laid out on terraces, each with extensive views over the countryside.

The addition of the Teapots Café last year has proved a real hit with campers. In addition, a new ultra-modern facilities block is due to be completed for the 2016 season.

All the AA award winners were recognised for their achievements during a lunch held at the Aztec Hotel in Bristol, an event which also marked the official launch of the AA Caravan and Camping Guide, now in its 48th year.
