Trio’s spine-tingling concert
Scottish electro-harpists Shine Trio will be making spines tingle in Buxton this month as part of their Fire and Frost Christmas tour.

Formed in 1998, The Shine Trio return to performing together following a ten- year gap where they each undertook their own personal projects.
Corrina Hewat has fronted The Unusual Suspects, one of Ireland’s top touring bands, whilst Mary Macmaster and Alyth McCormack have performed with the Poozies and the Chieftains respectively.
Their personal projects are as varied as their music which combines arrestingly modern arrangements with traditional, contemporary and original material.
The trio have re-released their highly acclaimed debut album Sugarcane and they are currently working on a new single, EP and album. Their work is described as an offering of ‘gorgeous harmonies with a mixture of traditional Gaelic and self-penned songs’.
