Southey Musical Theatre Company mark 80th anniversary with production of Jekyll & Hyde

Mark Thomas plays Jekyll and Hyde in Southey Musical Theatre Company's production.

An amateur company is celebrating its 80th anniversary by staging a Gothic musical thriller.

Southey Musical Theatre Company present Jekyll & Hyde at the Montgomery Theate, Sheffield, from April 22 to 25.

Mark Holmes plays the challenging dual role of Jekyll & Hyde with the characters’ love interests played by Mark’s real-life partner Gina Townend in the role of Lucy and Jennifer Horsfield as Emma.

The production includes powerful numbers such as This Is The Moment, Bring On The Men and the duet In His Eyes.

Mark said: “For anyone who has seen the show before they are in for a real treat! It’s very different and very true to the novel, full of Victorian drama and gore. We are so lucky to be working with a wealth of talented people - both new and experienced.”
