Gramophones Theatre Company brings new show Wanderlust to Holymoorside

Hannah Stone, one of three actresses in Gramophones Theatre Company, will perform Wanderlust at Holymoorside Village Hall on Saturday, May 16, at 7.30pm.

Armed with dictaphones and boots, Hannah, Kristy Guest and Ria Ashcroft went in search of adventure to create the show.

Hannah hijacked passers -by in Norfolk and Kristy, of Beeston, hitch-hiked her way around Nottinghamshire on mobile libraries, both collecting stories of epic journeys and risk-taking.

Ria, who lives in Ilkeston, was invited into nursing homes to chat with the inhabitants and help them create stories, which led her to unravel her own family story of a hereditary disease.

These adventures formed the basis of Wanderlust.
