Rhos Orpheus Male Voice Choir to perform at Bakewell Parish Church

The stirring sound of Wales comes to Derbyshire when the internationally acclaimed Rhos Orpheus Male Choir perform in a concert at Bakewell Parish Church.

The prestigious choir will perform in All Saints Church, Bakewell, on Saturday, May 2, at 7pm.

The choir was formed in 1957 to compete at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod. Since then it has performed throughout the UK, travelled extensively in Europe, America and Canada and visited China, Hong Kong and Israel.

One of its recordings, Calm is the Sea, helped raise more than £10,000 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Tickets for the concert cost £10 or £5 (for school age pupils), available from The Bakewell Bookshop on Matlock Street, Bakewell.
