Northern Ballet to stage Cinderella at Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre
Northern Ballet returns to Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre this month with the ultimate rags to riches fairytale, Cinderella.
Set in Imperial Russia at a time when superstitious people believe in the possibility of magic, David Nixon’s new adaptation of the classic fairytale sees heartbreak turn to joy as the unstoppable power of young love conquers all.
The production, running from Tuesday, November 25, to Saturday, November 29, features a new score by Philip Feeney played live by Northern Ballet Sinfonia, Duncan Hayler’s fantastical Russian-inspired set designs, beautiful dancing, magic and circus skills.
