Martha Tilston plugs new album The Sea in Nottingham and Sheffield

Folk singer Martha Tilston is heading for a landlocked part of the country to plug her latest album entitled The Sea.

Folk singer Martha Tilston is heading for a landlocked part of the country to plug her latest album entitled The Sea.

Her new release is composed of traditional songs and features input from her father Steve Tilston, her brother Joe Tilston, her uncle Kevin Whateley (the actor from television’s Lewis and Inspector Morse) and her late stepmother Maggie Boyle.

Martha worked on most of the songs with her house band The Scientists (Matt Tweed, Nick Marshall and Tim Cotterell) -

She will be airing songs from The Sea when she performs in The Maze, Nottingham, on Wednesday, March 25, and at Greystones, Sheffield, on Sundy, March 29.
