David Naughton, who starred as the American Werewolf in London, had huge queues and he was delighted to talk about how his co-star, Yorkshire's late great Brian Glover, played such a big part in his own career defining film.

He said of the Barnsley born actor: "Brian was very kind. For me, he was one of these quintessential British actors that we got a chance to meet. Very convincing as actors. Brian was so good and people still quote his lines to me. 'That's enough' is something fans still get me to sign on photos from the film."

Horror book authors Graham Masterton and Shaun Hutson also met fans.

"It was absolutely fang-tad tic and yes it was a scream," said Co-organiser Gill Bell.

"We don't yet know exactly how many people came but numbers were up a lot on our first HorrorCon last year and we believe around 3,000 people attended this weekend, " she said.

"HorrorCon UK is a unique and interactive festival experience that is unlike anything else in the UK, an event that will leave you smiling long after the show.

"We gave fans the chance to meet like-minded people, also to talk and rub shoulders with big names in the horror industry. We will be back and our ambition is to bring to the UK a festival that is comparable to the biggest horror events on the planet - the dark alternative to the Comic-Con scene!"
