The soulful voice of Jahméne Douglas will be filling the auditorium at Buxton Opera House on Thursday February 20 as part of the Four Four Time Festival.

First hitting the X Factor screens in 2012, there was an enigmatic side to Jahméne Douglas that captured the audience’s attention. The former shelf stacker showed not only an incredible voice but also a quiet strength of character.

“I know I seem shy, but singing was my therapy, my outlet, my release,” he explained. “It was how I could be just me. It’s a way of zoning out and making you strong. The singing became my sanctuary when I was growing up.”

Jahméne has a well-honed soul skimming voice that has not only enchanted his fan base but also given him a chart-topping album Love Never Fails.

His album features a collection of songs that he has flavoured with his own personality, together with guest appearances from his X Factor mentor Nicole Scherzinger and the legendary Stevie Wonder.

Jahméne will be joined on stage by the Joyful Soundz Gospel Choir.

Tickets for the performance, which starts at 7.30pm, are priced £21 and available at www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk or on 0845 1272190.
