THE MOST magical and enchanting of all fairytales is set to be brought to life at Buxton Opera House.

European Ballet, a popular and highly-praised touring ballet company, presents two performances of The Nutcracker at the Water Street venue on Sunday December 4, at 3pm and 7.30pm.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s glorious score, enhanced by over 45 beautiful hand-crafted costumes, the ballet is ideal for audiences of all ages.

The exciting moments – spells of mysterious Drosselmeyer, growing Christmas tree, fearsome battle between rats and toy soldiers, transformation of the Nutcracker into a handsome Prince, stunning national dances from Arabia, China, Spain and Russia – all bring unforgettable celebration of excellent dancing and magical story.

Highly respected, award-winning dancers from around the world will perform in this beautiful production.
