Lots of laughter at Darley Dale venue as Funhouse returns

Funhouse Comedy Club returns to The Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale, on Friday, March 10 for a night of fun and laughter.

Headlining will be comedian, actor, writer, BBC Radio presenter and juggler Steve Royle.

He spent many years as the court jester at Camelot theme park and has supported Peter Kay and Dave Spikey on tour.

His TV appearances include Phoenix Nights and Max & Paddy’s Road To Nowhere. Amusing his audiences with his high energy and distinctive talents, there’s something for everyone.

Supporting is winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards 2015 and 2016 and winner of the Online Comedy Award for the Parapod Podcast he produces with fellow comedian Ray Peacock, the appealing and perceptive Barry Dodds.

He has supported Jason Manford, Tape Face and Pete Firman on tour, as well as being Chortle Awards 2016 Nominee, Best Internet for The Parapod Podcast, with Ray Peacock.

He captivates the crowd with his energy, spirit and tantalizing wit. His mix of surprisingly uncanny and irrepressibly cheeky material leaves them wanting for more.

Completing the line-up will be the quirky and original Lee Kyle, who for nine years was a professional wrestler before deciding to take up comedy. By using a variety of props in his act he appeals to everybody.

Compere for the night will be the warm and welcoming Spiky Mike.

Tickets are £10 in advance

Doors open at 6pm for an 8pm start. Food is available from 7pm.
