The popular stage show In the Box - featuring some of the stars of Test Match Special live on stage - returns to Buxton Opera House on Sunday, at 7.30pm.
Cricket broadcaster Ralph Dellor will introduce an all-star line-up, including former England fast bowler Jonathan Agnew, now BBC Cricket Correspondent, cricket legend and ex-England captain Mike Gatting, and Derbyshire’s own Geoff Miller, the National Selector and one of the funniest men on cricket’s speaking circuit.
Gatting said: “It’s a really warm, fun evening and if you love cricket and you want to listen to cricket stories, this is one to come along to.
“All the people in the show have been at the top of their game, whether Test players or in the commentary box, so they know the game really well and have some wonderful tales to tell.”
He is also looking forward to returning to Buxton Opera House: “It’s one of my favourite venues for the show.
“Such a lovely, proper theatre and a very knowledgeable and appreciative crowd too!”
